Travelling to Linköping

Flying to Sweden

Arlanda Airport is Sweden's main international airport. If you're flying to Sweden, this is the airport you want to go to.

With boat to Sweden

You will probably arrive at Värtahamnen or Frihamnen in Stockholm. Find the subway and travel to Stockholm C. Then go to the section "From Stockholm to Linköping".

From Arlanda to Linköping (by plane)

You can fly to Linköping Airport from Arlanda.
If you'd prefer bus or train to get to Linköping, check the following sections.

From Arlanda to Stockholm

There are mainly two alternatives to get to Stockholm:

  • Flygbussarna (bus)
    Travelling time: 40 minutes
    Price: 70 SEK (adult), 40 SEK (student/youth 17 yrs or younger)
    Departures: every 10-15 minutes
    Tickets can be bought at Arlanda Airport or on the bus.
  • Arlanda Express (train)
    Travelling time: 20 minutes
    Price: 140 SEK (adult), 70 SEK (student/youth 17 yrs or younger)
    Departures: every 15 minutes
    Tickets can be bought at Arlanda Airport.
Both bus and train will arrive at Stockholm City Terminal.

From Stockholm to Linköping

There are mainly two alternatives to get to Linköping:

  • Swebus (bus)
    Bus number: 831 (towards Göteborg)
    Travelling time: 2h 50min
    Price Mon-Thu: 140 SEK (adult), 115 SEK (student/youth 25 yrs or younger)
    Price Fri-Sun: 200 SEK (adult), 160 SEK (student/youth 25 yrs or younger)
    Departures: every 1-2 hours
    Tickets can be bought on the bus.
  • SJ (train)
    Travelling time: 1h 43min (X2000), about 2h 20min (InterCity)
    Prices vary depending on what time you travel.
    Departures: X2000 trains every hour, InterCity trains more often
    Tickets can be bought at Stockholm City Terminal.
Both bus and train will arrive at Linköping Resecentrum.

With car to Linköping

If you travel by car to Linköping, you will probably come via the E4 highway. Regardless if you come from the north or the south, we recommend that you take the second exit to Linköping, signed Linköping Norra and IKEA.

Travelling within Linköping

With car to Pingstkyrkan

From the E4 you will, after driving for a while, come to the roundabout (Bergsrondellen) in the top left area of the map. Keep driving straight forward through this and then go left onto Vasavägen in the next roundabout (Abiskorondellen).
Turn right on Gråbrödragatan (the first street after the traffic lights) and then left on Klostergatan. The church is now on your right.

With bus to Pingstkyrkan from Linköping Airport

Go west from the airport on Gelbgjutaregatan until you come to Gamla Tanneforsvägen. To your left you will find a bus stop called Vretagatan. Take the local bus marked 210 towards Resecentrum. A bus ticket costs 16 SEK and is valid for an hour.
Now turn to the section "Walking to Pingstkyrkan from Resecentrum".

Walking to Pingstkyrkan from Resecentrum

The church is just a few minutes from Resecentrum. Walk on Järnvägsavenyn and then turn left onto S:t Larsgatan. Take the first street to the right (Kungsgatan) and you'll see the church on your left in a few minutes.

With car to Skylten

Drive down Kungsgatan and turn left on S:t Larsgatan. Turn right on Järnvägsavenyn towards Resecentrum. Turn right onto Järnvägsgatan. Turn right onto Hamngatan att then immediately left onto Stånggatan, the road that goes under the bridge. Turn left on S. Oskarsgatan. Skylten is now on your left. Park the car at the parking place Gesällen (SJ Riksparkering).

Back
