We are proud to announce the first band from the Netherlands to visit Bobfest!
Slechtvalk started as a one man project, releasing "Falconry" in 2000. Soon Shamgar went looking for members to form a full line-up, and in 2002 the band released a split EP with Kekal from Indonesia, as well as their second full-length album called "The War That Plagues The Land". In December 2002/January 2003 they will do a European tour promoting the new album.
The band has revived the blackmetal scene and explores the melodic realms of beautiful blackmetal in a way you've never heard before. Fans of Horde, Antestor and Crimson Moonlight, you're in for a great experience!

We are proud to welcome Narnia to Bobfest V. Narnia played at the first Bobfest that took place 1999. Now they are back again, better than ever! With three albums under their belt they have established themselves as one of the very top bands in the melodic metal scene.

Musically they deliver powerful neo-classical melodic metal and have been compared to bands like Yngwie Malmsteen and Rainbow. Typical for Narnia's sound is the fantastic guitar solos by Carl-Johan Grimmark who many have compared to Yngwie Malmsteen.

If you are into classic melodic metal with tons of guitar solos and sing-along-choruses you will love this band, cause this is tight melodic metal at it's finest.

Their 4th album, released spring 2003, contains some of the heaviest and fastest material they have ever done. Melodic metal fans rejoice and get ready for a metal feast that are going to blow you away!

We give you: Ganglion, for the first time in Swedish history.
With members from excellent bands such as Extol, Lengsel, Soniferous and Silver, Ganglion takes us to a new level of rock'n'roll. We are talking progressive punkrock-trash-metal with a shocking energy on stage.

The band was formed in 2001 and is already a part of the local rockscene in Oslo.
Ganglion is more aggressive than anything you've ever heard and at the same time their music is a melodic masterpiece.

You will dance til you drop and their songs will ring in your head until the day you die...

CULMI-NATIOOOOOOON!!!!!!!

The creative core of Sanctum and Mental Destruction...

Homepage
Industrial fans rejoice! Bobfest is proud to announce a new genre to the lineup of Bobfest V.

Azure Skies is built upon the creative core of the well-known Swedish projects Mental Destruction and Sanctum. Mental Destruction's roughness is combined with the melodic varieties of Sanctum, and the result is an astonishing mixture.

Metallic percussion lines, droning distorted rhythmic walls of sound, dark melodies, sometimes eruptive vocals and more. It is a new breeze on the industrial dance floor as well as an amazing listening experience.

Prepare yourself to stand petrified and listen or to let your limbs free and move to the rythms.

About three years ago, a metalcore band called Pulse formed in Finland, and would later be known as Callisto.

With some demos and a contribution on the Finnish metal compilation "The Metal Rose Collection" behind them, their real break-through came in 2002 with the mini-CD "Ordeal of the
Century".

Callisto's music is energetic and influenced by bands such as Zao and
Neurosis.

Their live shows are said to be as powerful as their music, and we are proud to welcome them to their first gig in Sweden.

Get ready to mosh!

In the late 90's, a rumour was spreading fast in the Swedish underground scene; there was a new mysterious blackmetal band forming called Crimson Moonlight. But who were these people who could come up with such horrifying names as Gnetsura? ;)

Well, what started off as a project just for fun soon became one of Sweden's most well-known Christian blackmetal bands around the world. After releasing their demo EP "Eternal Emperor" in 1998, there has been an awfully long silence from the band.

Blackmetal lovers rejoice, for Crimson Moonlight has risen once again, releasing their first full-length album "The Covenant Progress" at Bobfest V, not a minute too soon we might add!

Fronted by our favourite swordsman Pilgrim, and now enforced with Hubbe from the talented band Sanctifica, you can't afford to miss this band!

From the very north of Sweden, we give you... Soapbox!

Soapbox released a self-titled EP in autumn 1999, which was soon followed by their first full length album "a divided man", released in summer 2000.
During the years, Soapbox has toured in Europe, playing in the Netherlands, Belgium, Finland, Norway, UK, Germany and of course... Sweden.

Currently they are writing material for an upcoming full length album, and they are developing their sound even further. With roots in hardcore, punk and rock, what place could be better to show the audience what hard rock from the true north sounds like, than Bobfest?

To make things even better they will release their new 3" cd EP, "shapeshifter" at Bobfest! Last time Soapbox played at Bobfest someone called the cops!! It's time to hit Bobfest once again, now as a five-piece band, even louder - prepare yourself.
